^MT — Media Type: ribbon or direct thermal

Description

^MT declares the media: T for thermal-transfer (uses a ribbon) or D for direct-thermal (no ribbon). (It is not a mark-sensing command.)

Result

Transfer mode selected; the text prints either way — the ribbon does the work.
