Install NASM on Rocky Linux

Update dnf

On Rocky Linux the assembler comes from the base repositories. Refresh the package index first:

sudo dnf check-update

Install nasm

Install nasm with dnf:

sudo dnf install nasm

nasm -v

Check the assembler after the install. The linker (ld) ships with binutils, already installed:

nasm -v
