Install NASM on Windows 11

Download the installer

NASM ships a Windows installer from nasm.us. Download the latest win64 setup file for the 2.x series.

Run the installer

Run the setup file and keep the defaults. The installer adds NASM to your PATH, which is what lets every command prompt find nasm:

nasm -v

nasm -v

Open a fresh command prompt and check the assembler. You also need a linker: install the Windows SDK or MinGW-w64, which both ship ld and gcc.

nasm -v
